Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

Participation in Firearms and Safety Training

I understand that participation in firearms training, shooting-range activities, personal safety instruction, defensive training, and related activities involves inherent and potentially serious risks.

These risks may include, but are not limited to, accidental discharge of a firearm, firearm malfunction, ricochet, exposure to loud noise, exposure to lead or other materials, falls, physical exertion, actions of other participants, equipment failure, property damage, bodily injury, permanent disability, or death.

Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily choose to participate in activities offered, conducted, or coordinated by Iron Belle Defense. I understand that no firearms training or range environment can be made completely risk-free.

I knowingly and voluntarily accept and assume the risks associated with my participation, whether those risks are known or unknown, inherent or otherwise, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Release of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, I RELEASE AND AGREE NOT TO HOLD IRON BELLE DEFENSE, ITS OWNER, INSTRUCTORS, CONTRACTORS, REPRESENTATIVES, AFFILIATES, HOST FACILITIES, RANGE FACILITIES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS LIABLE FOR CLAIMS, DEMANDS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, COSTS, OR EXPENSES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO MY PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITIES COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THAT A CLAIM CANNOT LAWFULLY BE WAIVED OR RELEASED.

Safety Rules & Instructor Commands

I agree to comply with all firearm safety rules, range rules, instructor commands, facility requirements, and applicable laws. I understand that Iron Belle Defense may immediately stop my participation or remove me from an activity if my conduct is considered unsafe or inappropriate.

Personal Responsibility

I understand that I am responsible for my own actions and decisions during training. I agree to immediately notify the instructor if I do not understand an instruction, believe an unsafe condition exists, or become unable to participate safely.

Firearms, Ammunition & Equipment

If I bring or use my own firearm, ammunition, holster, or other equipment, I accept responsibility for ensuring that the equipment is appropriate for the activity and in safe working condition.

If Iron Belle Defense or another party provides equipment for my use, I agree to use that equipment only as instructed and for its intended purpose.

No Guarantee of Outcome

I understand that participation in or completion of training does not guarantee any particular level of skill, safety outcome, certification, license, qualification, or ability to successfully respond to a real-world incident.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I understand that firearms and related training activities involve inherent risks, including the possibility of serious bodily injury or death, and I voluntarily assume those risks. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I have read the release above and agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to release Iron Belle Defense and the other released parties from covered claims arising from my participation, including claims involving ordinary negligence. SAFETY RULES: I agree to follow all instructor commands, range rules, firearm-safety requirements, facility policies, and applicable laws. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY: I understand that I am responsible for my own actions and for accurately communicating anything that could affect my ability to participate safely. EQUIPMENT: I accept responsibility for equipment I bring to training and agree to use any equipment provided to me only as instructed. NO GUARANTEE: I understand that training does not guarantee a particular level of skill, certification, licensing result, safety outcome, or ability to respond successfully to a real-world incident. VOLUNTARY AGREEMENT: I have had the opportunity to read this entire waiver, understand what I am agreeing to, and voluntarily choose to participate and enter into this agreement. LEGAL RIGHTS: I understand that this waiver and release affects my legal rights, including my ability to bring certain claims against Iron Belle Defense and other released parties.
